What can we offer to clients on a retainer fee (based on your permanent/independent contractor or casual employee numbers – ad hoc quotation available on request):

  • Services (depending on your industry), which include the following:
    • Drafting of new employment contracts (industry-specific);

      • HIV/Aids Policy;
      • Absenteeism;
      • Sick leave;
      • Annual leave;

      • Illegal substance abuse;
      • Safety wear;
      • Timekeeping;
      • Attendance registers;
      • Clocking systems;
      • Internet and network policy;
      • Time attendance at clients;

      • Medical Certificate;
      • Remuneration;
      • Overtime;
      • Public Holidays;
      • POPI Act compliance policies;
      • If a particular policy is needed, we will draft it in consultation with the client.
  • Drafting or amendment of your disciplinary code;
  • Implementing amended and/or new contracts, codes and policies;
  • Drafting of warnings according to your disciplinary code;
  • Chairing of disciplinary enquiries, grievance meetings, counselling sessions and poor performance;
  • Assistance with conciliations and/or arbitrations at the required forum;
  • Any retrenchment processes;
  • Representation at any forum for any dispute referred—please enquire about our fee structure in this regard, as it is excluded from the monthly retainer. It is more cost-effective for a retainer client than it would be for an ad-hoc client. (Labour Court, unfortunately, will be briefed with an attorney and advocate at the client’s expense and quoted with an upfront deposit payable to the attorney.)

These services are not included in the monthly retainer, although we can assist in:

  • Registration of your business and/or employees at the Unemployment Insurance Fund, Coida, RMA or FEMA;
  • Payroll and all related payroll services;
  • CIPC services and expenses;
  • Polygraph and transcription services;
  • Any other justifiable expenses incurred on behalf of the client;
  • Compulsory membership to the AHI for representation;
  • Personal Income Tax;
  • COGS HR Management system;
  • Injury on duty claims management;
  • Backdated UIF calculations and declarations;
  • Corporate UIF registration, calculations and back payments;
  • Coida, RMA and FEMA registrations, calculations and submissions with the yearly letter of good standing;
  • Registration of domestic / gardener employers and employees at the Unemployment Insurance Fund – calculating outstanding returns for UIF and the declaration thereof to UIF.
  • UIF submissions and relevant forms:
    • Resignations;
    • Any form of leave (i.e. extended sick leave or maternity leave);
    • Dismissals;
    • Retrenchments.
    • Bargaining Council registrations for both employers and employees:
      • Assistance with Fund administration for industry-specific Provident / Pension funds.
      • Payroll:
        • Capturing of your employees’ time and attendance;
        • Capturing your employees’ leave;
        • Printing payslips;
        • Courier or Delivery can be arranged.

  • Other wall charts are available on request (please note that the pre-order waiting period is applicable—please enquire). Unfortunately, no wall chart(s) will be available for collection or delivery until the payment is reflected in our bank account. No proof of payment will be accepted as a guaranteed payment. We appreciate your understanding and patience in this regard. Should we need to pre-order a wall chart that we do not keep in stock, a deposit of 50% will be required before any other wall charts are ordered.
